Meet Aiden, one of the many individuals whose life has been transformed by Cornerstone Supported Housing and Counselling
Aiden’s journey is truly inspiring. After battling addiction for 20 years and facing time in prison, he found himself sleeping rough. The homeless response team encountered Aiden and supported him through their housing pathway, from emergency accommodation to securing his own property. Reflecting on his experience, Aiden says, “The support I got was amazing, and I can’t thank Cornerstone enough and am now 10 months clean. I started volunteering for them in November 2023, got employed in April. I love my job, have gained valuable experience, and can now help people who are in the situation I was in. There’s nothing better than being able to take someone off the streets and help them get accommodation.”
