Bringing Warmth on a Rainy Night in Glasgow

the-invisibles-on-the-street
Despite the heavy rain, The Invisibles were able to offer warmth, comfort, and essentials to 23 people on the streets of Glasgow tonight. From hot drinks and food to sleeping bags, footwear, and clothing, every donation made a real difference in helping those facing such harsh conditions.

This is a guest post from “the invisibles”:

Good evening, friends. This evening just as we began our Sunday night service it started raining, and it never let up throughout the rainy conditions always throws up a different challenge for u,s but even more so for the people living on the streets.

Tonight we engaged with 23 people 21 male and 2 females. Everyone was offered a hot drink, some chocolate or savouries, juice and a pot noodle. This was warmly received.

We also distributed 9 sleeping bags to those who were sleeping rough

Two Sleep Pods were also given out .

We distributed socks underwear and a few people we engaged with needed footwear as what they had on (canvas shoes)was inadequate for tonight’s rainy conditions .

It’s quite difficult to imagine lying in a shop doorway trying to sleep, but that will be the plight for at least 9 people in Glasgow tonight

Again, a big thank you to all who donated to our Amazon wish list and donations of used warm jackets, all sizes and training shoes, all sizes are always greatly received

Thank you
