Sleep Pod Featured at D5 Digital Design Week 2025: Design Where It Matters Most

We’re thrilled to be featured in D5 Digital Design Week 2025! D5mag celebrates Sleep Pod as a powerful example of human-centred design, proving that compassion and collaboration can shape life-saving solutions.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Sleep Pod has been featured by D5mag as part of D5 Digital Design Week 2025, under this year’s theme “Design Where It Matters Most.”

The article, “Sleep Pod: The Small Shelter with a Big Impact on How We Think About Social Design and Survival,” shines a light on how a simple idea born from compassion has grown into a movement that connects communities, designers, and changemakers across the UK and beyond.

As D5mag beautifully put it, “Sleep Pod proves that innovation doesn’t have to be high-tech to be transformative. Sometimes, the most powerful design solutions begin with a single intention: to keep someone warm for one more night.”

From our first prototypes to now, distributing over 16,000 Sleep Pods through more than 150 frontline charities, this journey has always been about one thing: human dignity through design.

The feature also highlights the power of collaboration: Sleep Pods built in prisons, corporate CSR events, and community hubs all carry the same message of compassion and shared responsibility. Every Pod tells a story, of teamwork, empathy, and practical impact.

We’re honoured to be recognised alongside other projects shaping the future of socially conscious design and are deeply grateful to D5mag and D5 Digital Design Week for celebrating design as a tool for humanity.
